Our Web Solutions

Providing better customer service can help your small business gain a competitive advantage. Today's customers have come to expect self-serve information from the companies with which they do business. JLJDavidson will work with your business to build a "web presence" and/or service oriented web solutions. The following sections outline what JLJDavidson can do for you. Please refer to our technology base for an overview of the tools we use.

Marketing

A marketing site is used as web based advertising for your company. Building a web site and adding your web domain name to your current marketing materials or products is a great way to expand your customer base. A typical marketing site would include information about your product and business.

Self-Serve

A self-serve site empowers your customers. Your customers can use this type of web site to manage content specific to your business. For example, say your business provides a service where your customer is required to pay a fee every month. At the beginning of each year you print and mail a monthly payment booklet to each of your customers. In this example, a simple self-serve solution may allow your customer to download and print the booklet themselves. A more complex self-serve solution would allow your customer to pay their monthly bill from your site or sign up for monthly automatic withdrawals.

Portal

A web-portal based site is generally a large site with rich navigation. If your business is large and diverse a with many heterogeneous web applications a web-portal solution may fit your needs. A portal based site will centralize your existing web technologies in an easy to use structure.

Information Repository

An information repository is an information-rich site. It is typically targeted to businesses that maintain a large or esoteric knowledge base with their customers. For example, say your business provides a tax preparation service. An information repository site could contain specific state tax laws, federal tax laws, how-to information, a small forum, and a search facility.

Database Solutions

A database solution is necessary if your business needs to store dynamic information or information that must be easily managed. The information stored in a database solution can be accessed by your customer, created by your business, or created by your customer in a self-serve type environment. The front-end of the database solution would typically be your business web-site.
